Mission Statement

The aim of the Center for European Studies is to strengthen the unity of the Atlantic alliance. As long as Europe and America remain reliable allies, the West will be the dominant political force in world politics and its ideas will shape the work of international institutions. Yet it is ideas that at present divide and weaken the West. To avert such an outcome, we at Hudson see the need for a more active and thoughtful U.S. policy rooted in the fundamentals of human belief and behavior that ultimately dictate laws and government policies.
